  2. Der Klang von Neuschwanstein

Where King Ludwig II once dreamed of the union of architecture and music, great voices ring out once again today. After a long silence, Neuschwanstein is once more becoming a space for sound. Against the backdrop of Neuschwanstein Castle, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, concerts featuring international soloists become an extraordinary experience. “The Sound of Neuschwanstein” transforms this unique place into a stage in its own right—and turns its history into a one-of-a-kind cinematic experience. “The Sound of Neuschwanstein” tells the story of a place that, like no other, embodies the fusion of art, architecture, and vision. King Ludwig II once had Neuschwanstein Castle built as a resonant stage for Richard Wagner’s music—a place where his longing for an ideal world was to be fulfilled. Yet this dream remained unfulfilled.

Why this site?
